I could live with the looks of the Colorado. The Colorado is much better looking than these vehicles. If this truck is half the truck it is with better fuel economy then I would consider it along with Toyota and Nissan. I currently have an S-10 with a 2.2 4 cylinder and five speed manual which has been an above average vehicle for the near 13 years I have owned it. If I were driving a vehicle just for looks I would not drive a truck. At least the front is aerodynamic. I would consider this truck for a replacement. If the fuel economy is decent this will sell. All the GM bashers expect everyone to Patriotic Americans and drive around in F-150s or F-250s. I will see what Ford does, but if its F150 take it or leave it, I will leave it. When you are talking about looks have you forgotten about the Pontiac Aztec, the Nissan Cube, the Honda Element, the Honda Ridgline, the boxy Scion, and how about the Kia Soul. Sorry I will not drive a fuel guzzler just because it is an American company. I might prefer the looks of a Global Ranger but if Chevy is going to bring this into the market it will sell if it is not too overpriced and if the quality is improved over the previous Colorado. A truck is a truck a vehicle that I buy for utility. I am a consumer first not a corporate cheerleader.

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Three months ago, Yakima police conducted a series of drug raids around town that in a matter of hours netted a total of nearly $300,000 in cash.

The cash was found hidden in secret compartments inside a pickup and an SUV that detectives encountered while trying to take down a heroin ring. To learn more, the Yakima Herald-Republic filed a public records request.

Officials now say they kept the case under wraps in part out of fear that someone would file a bogus claim for the cash that could have tied the money up in court for years.

There were other reasons, though. City officials consider it a record for the police department.

It's not been unusual for Yakima police to put on a show for the news media after making large hauls of cash, guns and drugs. But this case was different.

Police never held a news conference or issued a news release on the seizure, nor would they elaborate on it when asked after word leaked out of the police department days later. For one thing, no arrests had been made at the time, and the case was still under investigation.

They also say the size of the seizure, although a local record, was simply not earth-shattering for an area that continues to earn its reputation as one of the premier drug-trafficking hubs of the Pacific Northwest.
